INEFFECTIVE ECONOMIC TEAM PLUNGES THE ECONOMY INTO WIRLPOOL OF RECESSION
President Buhari's economic team isn't winning any 'trophy'. The team hasn't won any 'trophy' yet in the last two seasons and obviously isn't in any good form to win any trophy (in terms of performance) to make life better for the ordinary people.
PMB is certainly doing commendably well in national security, war against embezzlement and social productivity purviews. Yet the people are complaining, genuinely complaining hardships.
The reason isn't far fetched. PMB's economic team isn't performing up to the expectations of the people and the nation. So, the team needs to be reshuffled or even renewed altogether.
I certainly am very sure that President Buhari knows that economy is the nucleus of any nation. Hence, the need for his govt to focus on performance output quality and impact level as yardstick for members of its cabinet. Any mediocre cabinet member identified, in whatever sector, but in economic sector particularly should be shown the way out. Nigerians are still aware it took good six months for the president to build his cabinet of 'technocrats', so, if any of these 'technocrats' fails, they shouldn't be spared because Nigeria is greater than any chieftain or party. Above all, time and tide don't wait for anybody.
So, I'd advise PMB to keep rowing his boat in calm and stormy waters without being distracted by any corrupt crocodile or greedy hippopotamus until he takes Nigeria to a safe haven.
