ADEA 2016: The Scope wins best Newspaper of the year
Since the establishment of Gongola Press Limited now
Adamawa Press Limited in 1st April 1986 by the David Jang
administration, The Scope Newspaper has passed through smooth and difficult
times under the different Government with their different bureaucracies.
Being the longest and only surviving Newspaper in
the whole of Northeast of Nigeria. The Scope went through the hands of editors
who have contributed positively to the growth of the paper.
However, the coming on board of Mr. Patrick Anyom as
Editor of the paper has changed the face of the weekly companion as it has become the link between the Government
and the Governed, and it has improved in its responsibilities of educating,
informing and of course entertaining the readers in and outside the state.
Under the good supervision of the Honourable
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ahmad Sajoh, The Scope
Newspaper has been able to go online with quite a pretty number of followers as
the weekly tabloid has been covering the 21 local government areas of Adamawa
State.
It was in recognition of these facts that the
Adamawa Entertainment Awards (ADEA) awarded The Scope as the best Newspaper in
the State and also appreciating the print media on the role it has been playing
in promoting entertainment and education of the year.
