Gov. Darius Ishaku Did Not Ask Christians To Fight As Rumured

No matter what an individual does, or says the motive & intend behind his/her deed matters a lot, as it goes a long way in justifying such acts* Its one thing to read & another thing to understand but reverse is the case when sycophants and reputation spoilers are involved. Firstly I'll like to say its proper to read not just to reply but read to first understand hence gather facts & get the intend behind the writeups or articles. Its quite insensible & not professional to just read headlines alone & build on mere headline without going into the details. I came across a article attributed to the gathering of Christians on Sunday evening Ànd a deliberate misinterpretation of what the Executive Governor of Taraba state Said, though was represented by the SSG Mr. Anthony Jellason. As we all know Gov. Darius Ishaku is a peace Loving Governor as his slogan has always been 'Give me peace & I will give you development'. He has prioritized himself in building peace to what was almost a chaotic Taraba. Such a individual with a large heart can never urge Christians or any group, or set of people to indulge in any form chaos. The headline which was captioned: 'Taraba Governor Darius Ishaku Urges Christians To Rise Up, Defend Themselves' Was grossly misinterpreted by individuals who aimed at seperating us on religious line just because its politically convenient for them. Let me use this medium to clear the air. Below are quotations of what he said * Ishaku said that the government cannot be everywhere to defend people at all times and so the people should embrace their constitutional rights to self-defense to save themselves from the evil clutches of fundamentalist. *“The people must wake up from their slumber and defend themselves. You can’t just lie down and allow yourselves to be annihilated by other groups. You have a constitutional right to self-defense and now is the time to use it. The government alone cannot do it”. Ishaku said. *“I was at the site of the mayhem in parts of Ardo Kola this morning and the level of destruction there is unimaginable. A few weeks ago, it was in Gassol, then Karim. We are all aware of what is going on in Southern Kaduna. Taking a closer look at the above statement you'll understand that it is fair and justifiable but its painful and heart breaking that certain set of people have resulted in creating a non-existing story & scenes out of a clean & free minded speech. If not wickedness and having the aim of causing Havoc, why will some one say that Christians are been equipped with weapons to fight other people?. A CLARION CALL TO ALL TARABAN & THE GENERAL PUBLIC I will want to use this medium to dissociate the Rescue Captain from the speculated rumor with the aim of misleading Tarabans. The Governor is a peace loving person and the father to all irrespective of religion, tribe or affiliation and I urge us all to keep sustaining the brotherly love we enjoy today. lastly read to undertand & not just to reply.
