The “The Wedding Party” which was premiere of  on Saturday, November 26th 2016 was no doubt a lite event.

‘The Wedding Party’ which was written by playwright Tosin Otudeko and Kemi Adetiba, is an Elfike Film Collective Production; a collaboration of Africa’s leading powerhouses – EbonyLife Films, FilmOne Distribution, Inkblot Productions and Koga Studios

It is the first time industry giants will partner on a film project and with TIFF’s recognition is proving that Collectives can grow and prosper the continent’s film community.

Set in Lagos, Nigeria, The Wedding Party is the story of Dunni Coker (Adesua Etomi), a 24 year old art gallery owner and only daughter of her parents about to marry the love of her life, IT entrepreneur Dozie (Banky W). The couple took a vow of chastity and is looking forward to a ground-breaking first night together as a married couple.

Th star-studded event had in attendance members of the cast; Banky W, who made his acting debut in this movie, Adesua Etomi, Sola Sobowale, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Ali Baba, Ireti Doyle, Enyinna Nwigwe, AY Makun, EmmaOhMyGod, Saka, Kunle Idowu (Frank Donga), Ikechukwu, Beverly Naya, Somkele Idhalama, Zainab Balogun and more!

The event also witnessed the presence of other dignitaries and celebrities like the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lai Mohammed, Pastor Tony Rapu, Lanre Olusola, Patrick Doyle, the veteran actors Olu Jacobs & Joke Silva, Genevieve Nnaji, Chigurl, Omoni Oboli, Ifeoma McDermott, OC Ukeje, Rita Dominic, Kemi Lala-Akindoju, Noble Igwe, Toke Makinwa, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Mimi Onalaja, Timi Dakola and many more!

The premiere also broke the record for the largest mannequin challenge in Nigeria with an entire theatre posing in tribute of the recent social media phenomenon.
