The Adamawa
Entertainment Awards, hash tagged #ADEA,
is a revolutionary annual award ceremony, intended to be broadcasted by a
mainstream TV channel, marking a significant occasion for the diversity agenda.
This world-shattering award ceremony will be held in
Yola the capital city of Adamawa during December period & will be hosted by
Hassan Samaki & Amina Yuguda, undoubtedly Adamawa’s
most distinguished and well-loved journalists and presenters. The Adamawa Entertainment Awards will
highlight the best of Adamawa’s talent across Celebrity, Media, Music, and
Politics, with the promise to profile, empower and acknowledge their
extraordinary triumphs within the state and beyond.
Diversity is truly lacking across many of the creative
industries and within mainstream award ceremonies. The Adamawa Entertainment Awards aims to bring communities together and
highlight the phenomenal achievements of entertainment icons in Adamawa. If
ever there was a time to celebrate and elevate the truly staggering diverse
talent the state has to offer, it is now. We have a fundamental passion to
drive change and make a lasting and sustainable difference across the media
industry and beyond.
It is designed to attract and appeal to the taste
makers that take active roles in setting the rules for styles, the hottest
trends and over all ingenuity within the city and industry.
To acknowledge someone’s contribution to the
entertainment community is important. It honours the achievements of passionate
and hard-working individuals and gives inspiration to those who set out to
follow their example.
It is even more important to celebrate the achievements
of visible minorities – in this case those of entertainment based community
groups, whose victories often go unrecognised. The wider aims of the awards is
to create substantial partnerships in order to strengthen ties between minority
groups and wider communities whilst sending out a positive memorandum across
all platforms of media about how much ethnic communities actually contribute to
the Adamawa society and the economy.
Adamawa Entertainment Awards ceremony has not been set up
to preach to the converted, we aim to portray a message to the unconverted and
highlight that there is a problem with underrepresentation of entertainment
equality and The Adamawa Entertainment
Awards message is solely about EQUALITY!
