Are There Good Signs That Things Will Be Done Differently This Year

Based on our socio- economic woes and the monumental loss of lives and properties occasioned by insurgency, militancy, kidnapping and other related violent acts, i thought this year things will be done differently, but it looks like our woes may continue unabated.

Four acts have shown the rough path to 2017.

1. Fulani militias have destroyed a village in my Local government in broad day light( 2pm) for alleged killing of 5 of their cows after they were compensated for more than 8 times the number of the cows killed.
2. A village in Borno state was attacked by BH, leaving about 15 people dead officially.
3. The federal govt that had opened a channel of negotiations with militants in Niger Delta and the militants have suspended their activities, has not been able to sustain the momentum because it is not comfortable with the people it is dealing with and it has therefore stalled negotiations. Sensing they are being taken for a ride, very soon they are going to continue the destruction of oil installations with attendant loss of the much sought after oil revenue that will assist the govt get out of recession.
4. The economic woes of the people may continue as govt is set to increase the pump price of fuel.

I just finished my morning prayers and had for long period asked God to please intervene in this malignant nation and I'm calling on all you good people to please be on your knees to consistently put this our nation in prayers. Oh our merciful, compassionate, caring God, please look at the condition of your people and intervene. We are in big trouble because satanic forces have taken over and have held your people captive in their land. Visit our leaders with milk of kindness and compassion that have taken flight from them so that they will rule this country with your fear and be fair and just to all. This is my earnest prayer and may the people of the most high God say Amen.
