ARTISTE PROFILE: You should get familiar with this artiste in 2017

Samuel Adakole Adikwu popularly known as Shabalinko (Mr “Wicket”) as his stage name was born on November 6,1992. He hails from Benue state, Apa local government. He was born and raised in Abuja by his parents, where he attended St. Paul’s Nursery and Primary School and later went to Government Secondary School Kuje, Abuja. He is currently studying politics and international relations at Lead City University, Ibadan. He is a Nigerian singer, recording and performing artist.

Shabalinko started his music career as an underground artist in 2013 while working on his brand and style of music but officially dropped his first single titled flex produced by Ekellybeatz on April 1st, 2016. The song got a massive AirPlay around the country, both in clubs and radio stations. He later dropped a promo album to follow up the single which was titled ‘flex.’ He is drawn to reggae dance-hall genre but the versatility of his unique style blends both Afro and dance-hall. He calls his style the new90s.

Shabalinko is currently not signed to any record label. He is an independent artist who has his own team he works with from his manager to his promoters. Shabalinko is set to drop more music with features not announced yet for his fans in the year 2017 the year of the (new90s) #wicket#onomomselecta.
